Roger Maier Böing focuses his practice on corporate, contractual, and regulatory law, with particular emphasis on the oil and gas, energy, and mining sectors.
He advises foreign clients on investments in Brazil, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), project finance transactions, and joint ventures. Roger has in-depth expertise in commercial and corporate contractual instruments, including SPAs, SHAs, JBAs, JOAs, and JVAs, as well as industry-specific agreements such as lifting, drilling, chartering, operations and maintenance (O&M), seismic and geophysical surveys, gas sales agreements (GSAs), among others.
He also leads legal support in the acquisition of oil and gas and mining assets, and handles regulatory matters involving the Brazilian National Petroleum Agency (ANP) and the National Mining Agency (ANM). Additionally, he assists clients with administrative proceedings and both national and international public and private bidding processes.

- Holds an LL.M. in Natural Resources and Environmental Law and Policy, with a specialization in Energy and Mineral Law and Policy, from the University of Denver (CO, USA). He also holds a postgraduate degree in Oil & Gas Law from MBP/COPPE at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and a law degree from Universidade Candido Mendes (UCAM).
